Our Mission

Jerusalem Peacebuilders (JPB) is an interfaith non-profit organization with the mission of creating a better future for humanity across religions, cultures, and nationalities. Our programs focus on uniting Palestinian, Israeli, and American youth and provide them with the opportunities and skills they will need to become future leaders for peace in their global communities.

Our organization supports an integrated curriculum aimed at creating a new generation of leaders. Peace is possible in Jerusalem, but peace is for the strong. It requires patience and determination, and we hope that you will choose to remain part of this important and pioneering work.

Our Organization

Jerusalem Peacebuilders (JPB) promotes transformational encounters with the peoples of Jerusalem and the Middle East.  Each summer, JPB sponsors residential peace-camps for Israeli, Palestinian and American teenagers. Camp curriculum addresses in-depth topics such as teamwork, leadership & communication skills, democracy & civil society, conflict transformation, and interfaith education.  Dialog is facilitated by visiting experts such as United States diplomats, former Israeli and Palestinian combatants, artists, and religious leaders from each faith.

We recently engaged in a project to construct an interfaith worship center at the Brattleboro Leadership Camp in Vermont which will include a synagogue, a mosque, and a chapel; providing spaces for reflection, learning, and religious practice.

Jerusalem Peacebuilders continues to build relationships including greater integration with our Kids4Peace partner camps, enhanced relationships with high schools in Jerusalem and the United States, and collaboration with non-profit organizations such as World Learning’s SIT Graduate Institute, Combatants for Peace, and Search for Common Ground.  In partnership with K4P, JPB is working to establish after school offerings in leadership with opportunities for students to participate in school exchanges.

A passion for leadership and peace drives our mission; volunteer and institutional partnerships power our program.
